About
As the youngest investor ever at DCM and the only DCM-baby, Qi wishes to bring new angles as well as fresh ideas to the firm. She is enthusiastic about psychology and sociology and keen to explore one's relationship with oneself and society. Her experience of participating in Physics competitions helps her to understand the development of technology. With the spirit of entrepreneurship, she is dedicated to supporting startups to make a greater impact. She will never cease to improve herself, always prepared for providing entrepreneurs with substantial assistance when needed.
Prior to officially joining DCM, Qi worked at Hillhouse, DCM and BAI as an intern, where she participated in some venture capital deals with a focus on Consumer Internet. She worked on an M&A and HKEX IPO and an SSE STAR Market IPO as a summer analyst at JPMorgan as well as CICC. She successfully secured the return offers due to extraordinary performance. Qi has been fascinated by the business world since a young age. Right after graduating from high school, she led a team to start an education service provider and collaborated with local government to provide competence-oriented education to children from lower-tier cities. This business attracted hundreds of students and parents and successfully made a profit.
Qi dreamed of being a B-girl when she was little, but she gave up as breaking requires a strong upper body. Now she likes Hip-hop and standup comedy, and she’s really a fan of escape rooms (although she’s not good at it). She hopes to be a cool rapper one day and she’s determined to be a standup comedian ahead of George. :)
