André joined DCM in 2006 and has been serving as the firm’s Chie Financial Officer since 2012 and as Partner since 2018. As a member of DCM’s leadership, André is responsible for the financial operations of the firm's investment funds, tax & other regulatory compliance, investors reporting, execution of sell-down strategies of public holdings across the DCM portfolios, as well as the day-to-day management of global firm-wide finance and operational matters. André is also involved with strategic planning, investor relations, and assisting with DCM's investment activity and portfolio company financial transactions. In addition, André helps DCM's domestic and international portfolio company management teams with operational and financial guidance. André has over 20 years of professional experience in financial and operational roles.
Prior to joining DCM, he was an Assurance Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers providing audit and business advisory services to numerous venture capital funds and technology companies. Previously, André was the Contributing Editor for the Closed-End Fund Digest, a prestigious investment newsletter subscribed by both institutional and individual investors, where he covered closed-end equity funds focused on the emerging markets of Latin America and the "Asian Tigers". André earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Economics with Honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in California and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the CFA Institute.
A native of Brazil, André is fluent in three languages (English, Portuguese and Spanish). When he is outside of the office, André enjoys hanging out at car track days, watching Formula 1, cheering at “Futebol” (Soccer) matches, mountain biking, and snowboarding.
