Magnuson Computer Systems Inc.(NASD:MCSI) 、Trilogy Systems Ltd.(NASD:TRILF)を共同設立し、夫々を株式公開等の成功へと導く。その後、NetFRAME Systemsを創業、同社の会長、CEO,CTO等の要職を務め、1992年に株式を公開 (NASD:NETF)、1997年にはMicron Electronics (NASD:MUEI)に同社を売却。F5 Networks (NASD:FFIV)ではCTOを務め、同社の株式公開を牽引。その後、コンサルティング会社 Amdahl Associatesを経て、DCMに参画。

DCMでは主にシステム、ソフトウェア、半導体の分野等の投資を担当。

DCMの投資先ではArroyo Video Solutions（現、Cisco）Swan Labs（現、F5 Networks）及びPGP（現、Symantec） を担当。29の米国特許を保有。
